When you elect corrupt, cruel, incompetent people, don’t be shocked when you receive corrupt, cruel, and incompetent results.
The hits keep coming for MAGA, especially on the heels of receiving atrocious poll and favorability numbers, in which the Trump Administration is now negative double digits on the economy, healthcare, and even immigration.
Earlier today, Judge Xinis, who has no time or appetite for MAGA bullshit, ordered the immediate release of Abrego Garcia, whom she wrote was first wrongfully detained in El Salvador and has been re-detained without lawful authority. Garcia’s crime was walking while brown. That’s it. Along with more than 230 men, Garcia was kidnapped by the Trump Administration and sent to be tortured and die in a foreign El Salvador prison. Even though the Administration admitted they sent him in error, they have doubled down to justify his illegal detention purely for the sake of cruelty.
In addition to deporting immigrants, Kristi Noem and the DHS have deported citizens, including veterans. Noem, who was thrown under the bus recently by the Department of Justice and blamed for disobeying a judge’s order, was humiliated, mocked, and revealed to be a degenerate liar in a House committee hearing. It got so bad that she excused herself to attend a meeting that had already been cancelled. They can’t even lie competently, folks.
Case in point, FBI Operations Director Michael Glasheen couldn’t answer Rep. Thompson’s basic question, “Where in the United States does Antifa exist if it’s a terrorist organization and you’ve identified it as number one?” Glasheen responded like a deer in headlights, clearly unable to improvise in real time and come up with a lie that can be used by Fox to gaslight the rest of America.
Meanwhile, Republicans have decided to win over Americans who are fleeing them in droves by refusing to extend the Obamacare subsidies that will help healthcare costs from skyrocketing for millions of Americans. They’re taking the “Scrooge McDuck” approach, like their King and Daddy Trump, who attended a Pennsylvania rally earlier this week to ridicule immigrants of color and recommend people buy their children fewer dolls and pencils.
Indiana Republicans just gave a rare, major rebuke to Trump by refusing to redraw their map despite his threats and insistence. As MAGA implodes, with exquisite catfights, internal feuds, and finger-pointing, the majority needs to exploit these fissures and not launder and whitewash the reputations of MTG, Tucker Carlson, and Candace Owens, who are openly breaking from the MAGA movement they created. They are using us to reset and regroup for the future. Instead, we have to use them to continue weakening the MAGA movement while keeping our eyes wide open about their white nationalist agenda.
