America Unhinged: Covering the Chaos of Trump's Second First 100 Days

Proudly announcing our brand new show on Zeteo News co-hosted by me & Francesca Fiorentini where we call out Nazi salutes, never bend the knee to fascists, & cover the chaos without losing our minds.

Some people in corporate media called it a “Roman salute” and a “man with Aspergers exuberantly throwing his heart to the crowd,” and we’ll keep calling it for what it is: Elon Musk’s Nazi salute.

That’s the difference between a media class that voluntarily bends the knee to a right-wing authoritarian force for the sake of profit, ratings, and self-preservation, and the rest of us, who might be masochists with less money, but maintain our integrity, values and say the truth in the face of rampant sane-washing.

Keeping in line with that spirit of joyful resistance - and occasional good-natured humor - I’m proud to announce the launch of a brand new show, AMERICA UNHINGED, over at Zeteo that I’ll be co-hosting with Francesca Fiorentina, a beloved progressive commentator, host, and comedian. We’ll be live every Tuesday and Thursday at 8 pm ET over at YouTube. Our big premiere is tonight, and we’ll try our best over the next 100 days to keep you up to speed with Donald Trump’s systematic attacks on our freedoms, rights, and norms, while also giving you a healthy dose of hope and strategies for resistance.

We also welcome you to join our live community and look forward to engaging with folks tuning in from around the world. Over the next 100 days, we’ll be hosting Q+A sessions, interviewing subject matter experts, and platforming recurring segments that allow us to comment on the chaos with some levity for the sake of much-needed catharsis.

What we won’t do is kiss the ring or try to normalize the cruelty, misinformation, and racism especially as Donald Trump and his minions, such as Stephen Miller, remain committed to “flooding the zone” with hateful Executive Orders and absurd dreams of buying Greenland.

In tonight’s episode, we look forward to pushing back forcefully against the corporate sanewashing and normalization of Trump’s second inauguration, breaking down why Elon Musk’s Nazi salute was exactly that, explaining how Trump’s attacks on trans communities are a warning shot to all marginalized communities, unpacking some of his worst Executive Orders, and highlighting the national security threat that has emerged after Trump pardoned the January 6th insurrectionists.
