Well, that was quick.
The 10-point ceasefire plan between the United States and Iran seems to be on life support after Israel rained hell on Lebanon, killing nearly 200 people and wounding 800. The Strait of Hormuz remains closed, even as markets rebounded after last night’s auspicious news.
Now, J.D. Vance has been sent to Islamabad, along with grifters Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, to create a “new normal” with Iran. Regardless, the rampaging elephant in the region remains Israel, which is committed to its strategy of expansionism and “mowing the lawn,” creating permanent instability as a means of safety for itself.
Of course, it doesn’t have to be this way. Donald Trump, like presidents before him, can literally threaten Israel to back down. Sadly, as reported by the NYT, he continues to be dogwalked by war criminal Netanyahu. After 6 weeks, this unwinnable war with Iran has only harmed America, weakened its reputation, resulted in numerous deaths, and wasted billions of dollars.
