So far, we know that Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old white man from a conservative, Trump-voting family, is the only shooting suspect in Charlie Kirk’s murder.
We also know the bullets were engraved with messages associated with the Groyper movement and used in toxic online spaces where young individuals have often been radicalized towards hate and nihilism.
That’s what we know.
But before we knew anything, Trump and MAGA had already set the narrative and agenda for their cult. They blamed “the left” and transgender people. After Robinson emerged as the suspect, they switched to blaming…the left and transgender people. This is to be expected from a regime that gaslights, lies, and distorts reality. However, you expect corporate media not to tow the line and actually do their own responsible reporting.
That didn’t happen.
WSJ, The Guardian, Fox News, and Washington Post all failed and recklessly promoted bad-faith right-wing propaganda, which they later corrected or amended. Regardless, the damage was done and the fake news spread. Meanwhile, MAGA has unleashed a campaign of retribution, censorship, and terror, and gone after anyone and everyone who has criticized Charlie Kirk. They’re going after teachers, Democrats, and getting media personalities, like Matthew Dowd and Karen Attiah, fired.
Who do we trust? The incompetent FBI led by podcaster Kash Patel? The Trump Administration that has incited a war against the left? Corporate media that continues to bend the knee to right-wing arguments? It was just announced that the Trump Administration “is ordering the removal of information on slavery at multiple national parks in an effort to scrub them of ‘corrosive ideology.’”
It’s a hoods off moment for a white supremacist regime that is attempting to rewrite history in real time and telling you not to trust the evidence of your eyes and ears.
