If this were a story in the Old Testament, we still have a ways to go to hit all 10 plagues. So much of this pain was preventable, but unfortunately, we are being killed by a pro-death cult of grifters, eugenicists, and sociopathic billionaires who believe in sacrificing lives for the sake of profit and power.
Everything will get worse after the midterms, by the way. This is just the amuse-bouche. The Trump Administration will cut $1 trillion from Medicaid to pay for permanent billionaire tax cuts. This will result in the closures of hospitals and senior citizen homes across the nation. Climate change is warming the Earth, but Donald Trump claims it’s a hoax created by China. Thanks to deregulation, polluting industries have a get-out-of-jail-free card to continue raping the Earth as AI Data Centers pop up across the country and gobble up our data, land, water, and resources.
There’s no need to sugarcoat the harsh reality of our health care crisis. Things are about to get much worse, but they don’t always have to be this way. Americans deserve better, such as universal health care, paid family leave, and a living wage. Until we champion politicians willing to champion such necessary reforms, the people have to organize in communities to literally protect ourselves and our families.
