On Tuesday, the richest man on Earth appeared with the President of the United States of America at the White House lawn to hawk his crappy Tesla vehicles in the hopes of revitalizing its sagging sales.
Elon Musk, unelected and unconfirmed by the Senate, is also addressing the Cabinet, talking to the press at the Oval Office, dismantling the government, weakening regulations, and threatening his critics in the pursuit of enriching himself and the broligarchy. Trump, a criminal president whose entire career has been rife with corruption and shady business dealings, is fine with selling our country to the highest bidder.
Although shocking, none of this is surprising to independent writer, researcher, and author Sarah Kendzior, who long ago predicted the rise of Trump and the capture of American democracy by an oligarchy in her books Hiding in Plain Sight and They Knew. In her latest book, The Last American Road Trip, which she describes as a cross between National Lampoon and Mad Max, Kendzior takes her family on a road trip across America before it succumbs to autocracy.
Mainstream media and establishment experts would be wise to read her works. Sadly, they have repeatedly ignored and dismissed her warnings as cynical doomsday speculation. Regardless, Kendzior has proven herself to be a modern-day Cassandra because of her years researching autocrats, dark money, and right-wing political players that, in part, comprise the transnational criminal syndicate that has created and groomed Trump and is now supercharged thanks to Silicon Valley money.
