Thanks for having me on, Wajahat! And to everyone else for your patience with my half-operational voice.

I am endorsing someone - Katie Porter. Tom Steyer seems like a nice guy, but in his campaign ads, I hear a lot of promises with no plan. Being successful in business requires a different set of skills from being successful at governing. My research informs me that Katie Porter is the candidate in this race who will be the most effective governor of California. She has the education, the experience, the intelligence, the ability to dissect governmental problems and arrive at the most effective solutions. She has proven she can work with legislators from both sides of the aisle, and effectively bring them together in compromise. And she has dedicated her career to helping average Americans. Contrary to an opposition campaign assertion, she has taken a stand on the billionaire wealth tax, and provided what appears to be an equitable alternative, but she has also rejected billionaires' campaign donations. I still stand with Katie.

I appreciated hearing from Jean "why" she is supporting Steyer and is concerned about the commitment of Becerra. I saw part of an interview on IHIP News (Jen Welch) with Steyer ( https://youtu.be/WGL8K0aztIM ), but there was no answer to the "why" question. Jean's voice was not a problem. Thank you.

Steyer's father prosecuting Nazis at Nurenberg completely explains that he is honestly seeking CA Gov position to help our country& state of CA. He knows trump cabinet is full of real Nazis.

Is Francesca on Substack or do I go to Patreon. Wow Scott Pelley issues new statement after CBS firing. Anderson gone and a couple more will not change the best iconic show in history for decades to the Idealic Bari Weiss🧛🏻‍♀️ and new producer and it will never be the same and others will walk but they’ll lose their viewership removing what they’ve had for so many years!!!

The Democratic Party isn't keeping up with change. They are living like it's 10 years ago and tech bros and corporations are the good guys. Anyone who accepts crypto and AI money shouldn't have power. Period.

Check out Bill McKibben’s long time relationship with Steyer.

I just voted for Becerra and this episode has me convinced I should’ve voted for Steyer. If they both make it on the November ballot, I’ll vote for Steyer. Thank you for the info!

I really wish you could have had this conversation a week ago. I was applaud when I opened my ballot and saw 61 names just for governor. Needless to say, I would have changed my vote to Steyer. 😪

Francesca is absolutely right! I am a boomer and will not vote for anyone in the Democratic establishment.

Waj, generally agree with you on the skepticism and at least marginal disdain for the billionaire class. But I want to be careful about not assaulting or denigrating wealth, success & ambition as a general rule. I think there are good billionaires out there. While certainly not perfect, George Soros has done a tremendous amount of good for humanity. And Jeff Bezos's ex, Mackenzie Scott, is also extremely philanthropic and dedicated in her desire to better the planet.

I don't care if a good hearted man is a billiknair.. Franklin Delano Roosevelt came from wealth and at first blush many thought he'd kiss the asses of the industrialists. Well, we know what happened. He brought MANY social programs (women in his cabinet thought of them) and took us out of rhe Depression & WWII. He was the greatest f*cking leader in the 20th. century & my reverence for him is deep.

Rveryone believed Grump’s promises in ‘24 so can we believe what they say? YES I know a serial liar isn’t going to keep any promise made FOR THE CITIZENS but the opposite always for Himself. He IS a taker and known to take from the workers who pay taxes, however, that is the money HE is using for his extravagant Vanity Projects and our billions paid to house the migrants BUT not feed or keep them alive. No water, medical needs, showers so any $$ ho to the owners of the warehouse jail. The billionaires are against us AND gets to keep taxes & make it

the most in the Market! THEY ARE ALL MANIPULATING THE MARKET‼️

I saw this in The Guardian. So they have a problem with someone Nethanyahu appointed, but they take selfies with Nethanyahu.....It's like they think their base is maga, that their base is too stupid to see the obvious.

Waj, I see you working hard for your children. These are difficult days. I am constantly tired from this chaotic world. I pray the pressure is released a bit by November. I love your talks. Please take care - your body is a holy temple.
