California is the most populous and wealthy state in the United States of America. It’s also apparently the bastion of “resistance” and a “liberal” state. Well, the leading candidate for Governor just resigned after a series of sexual assault allegations, and the current Governor, Gavin Newsom, wants to invite billionaires, but not transgender people, into his “big tent.”
Yeah, it’s not looking great.
The governor’s race is now wide open, and currently, two Republicans are among the top three candidates. The leading Democrat is billionaire Tom Steyer. Former Rep. Katie Porter is hanging around, but her reputation as a toxic and abusive boss isn’t helping. There’s also Mayor Matt Mahan, who’s the chosen candidate of the broligarchs, picked by Joe Lonsdale, the co-founder of Palantir, among others who are polling in single digits.
In fact, the Silicon Valley supervillains are openly pledging millions of dollars to influence the upcoming elections, showering cash on both sides of the aisle. A recent Bloomberg article reported the broligarchs are planning to spend up to half a billion to influence Democrats and ensure they remain “pro-growth” and “anti-regulation.”
If these Democrats remain wedded to corporate money, AI, Crypto, ICE, and AIPAC, then how can you trust any of them to reform a system that is broken and profiting off of our collective misery?
