Right before news of Charlie Kirk’s shooting, I was in conversation with National Security expert Olivia Troye, who resigned from the Trump Administration upon realizing she was surrounded by racist extremists and aspiring authoritarians who have no fidelity to the Constitution or rule of law.
The world is sadly burning, and one of the three arsonists is currently in the White House. Tragically, Donald Trump is the Fredo of the modern Axis of Evil, which also includes war criminals Vladimir Putin and Benjamin Netanyahu, who are dog-walking and playing Trump at every step.
Our alleged ally, Israel, has just escalated its regional war by striking U.S. non-NATO ally Qatar, which houses the largest U.S. base in the Middle East. In addition to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, Israel has also engaged in 35,000 strikes against Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen. The “America First” president almost took us to the brink of WW3 by striking Iran on behalf of our “ally” Israel.
Last night, Russia decided to sabre-rattle by initiating a drone attack on Poland, a NATO ally, which promptly shot them down. Trump’s response was to post, “What's with Russia violating Poland's airspace with drones? Here we go!" That’s leadership, folks. Perhaps Trump is utterly compromised by Russia and is Putin’s poodle. Sure looks like it. After laying out the red carpet for Putin, Trump ended European security programs aimed at protecting the countries surrounding Russia. Isn’t it shocking that Putin decided to test Poland at this particular moment? Who could have guessed?
Meanwhile, Trump and Stephen Miller want to crack down on Americans at home by initiating a war against Central and Latin American countries. Trump still hasn’t provided evidence that the 11 people he unilaterally killed without due process in international waters were drug dealers. It’s all part of Miller’s plan to eventually attack Mexico, according to Troye, and continue the military crackdown on American residents, especially people of color, whom he accuses of being “invaders” bringing in drugs and polluting our cities. Now, after Kirk’s murder, Trump and the right-wing are accelerating their talks of retribution and will use it to justify unleashing the National Guard and military on other American cities with a Democratic voter base.
All of this will lead to the weakening of America, devolving it into a chaotic, poor, sick country, increasingly isolated from the rest of the world.
Putin couldn’t have wished for a better prize.
