Trump is accepting luxury jets from Qatar, auctioning access in exchange for purchasing his memecoin, and is willing to sell America, its resources, and its national security to the highest bidder.

It’s a global auction, folks, and America is for sale!

Kleptocracy. Kakistrocracy. The Broligarchy.

These are all fancy synonyms for the Trump regime, a shamelessly corrupt and morally bankrupt Administration willing to sell out the country, its resources, its national security, and its people to the highest foreign or domestic bidder.

It’s no secret that both sides of the political aisle have welcomed corporate donations, gifts, and foreign lagresse to enrich themselves and create generational wealth for their families. However, no one in modern history has been as utterly naked and open with their quid pro quo as Donald Trump, who has turned the Oval Office into his ATM.

The MAGA rubes who voted for him thinking he’d make America great again must endure another four years - or more - of him and his billionaire friends grifting as they potentially lose their jobs, health care, and Social Security benefits.

Over the weekend, Trump proudly announced he would receive a luxury Boeing 747 jumbo jet, “a palace in the sky,” from the Qatari royal family and upgrade it to serve as Air Force One. After his regime ends, he will donate the plane to his presidential library because the man whose party is banning books and purging “DEI” from the government is such a prolific reader and champion of education. When asked why the President of the United States would accept a $400 million luxury jet from a foreign country, Trump angrily replied that only “stupid” people would reject an offer.

You might ask, “Isn’t this blatantly unethical and a violation of the emoluments clause?” Sure, but rules don’t matter when your Attorney General Pam Bondi gives you a green light to line your pockets, and once received over $100K a month as a paid lobbyist for Qatar.

As a “stupid,” poor person who doesn’t receive six-figure monthly allowances from foreign countries, let me rationally break down why this would be a no-good, horrible, terrible idea.

First, Air Force One basically functions as the Oval Office in the sky, with U.S. officials discussing critical intelligence and policy issues. Perhaps accepting a foreign plane that could be bugged, compromised, or surveilled isn’t the best idea if you’re trying to keep high-level information confidential. Then again, this Administration doesn’t care about exposing our military secrets to foreign countries, which is why Pete Hegseth and other high-level cabinet leaders keep using Signal, an unsecured social media app that the Pentagon has warned can be accessed by our enemies. Second, if you accept a bribe, which is what this is, then you immediately become compromised and beholden to your benefactor. There’s always a quid pro quo. The question remains what, or who, will Trump give up in exchange for such luxurious gifts?

It seems Israel is an initial victim. (Sorry, not sorry, Israel.) Coinciding with this Qatar “gift,” Trump has decided to visit Qatar, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia for his first official foreign trip. Hamas, which Qatar sponsors, also gave Trump a win by releasing Edan Alexander, the last American hostage in Gaza. None of this should be surprising to anyone who has kept receipts. In the first Trump Administration, son-in-law Jared Kushner maintained a backdoor relationship with Saudi tyrant MBS, who bragged he had Kushner “in his pocket.” After meeting with Kushner, MBS engaged in a Saudi “red wedding,” sidelined his critics and enemies, and assumed authoritarian control. Trump’s first foreign trip was to Saudi Arabia, where Steve Bannon danced with swords and Trump did a curtsey to the Saudi king. In return, Kusher received a $2 billion investment for his fledgling firm.

You see, it’s perfectly fine to dance with Saudis, accept Qatari money, and deal with Gulf states when you’re a Republican. You’re not accused of being an extremist, a terrorist, or a supporter of Hamas and jihadists. That’s only reserved for public Muslims, such as myself, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, or Mehdi Hasan - none of us, by the way, have ever received a jumbo jet, 100K, or billions of investments from Gulf states. It’s all projection, all the time for MAGA. The rules are twisted, inverted, and thrown out the window when they can achieve more power and wealth, and accelerate the grift. Even if it means pissing off the Islamophobes of the base, like Laura Loomer, the Trump Administration can’t pass up a lucrative opportunity to get paid by rich, foreign Muslims

If you’re a foreign country or an evil billionaire, I’d strongly recommend buying Trump’s stupid digital coin to gain face-to-face access with him at a private dinner hosted at his golf course. Trump is openly inviting bribery by “auctioning” access to the highest bidder, who will also receive a tour of the White House. Trump is the easiest mark in the world. For some chump change, you can get pretty much anything you want from him for the right price. American tech billionaires, such as Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg, understood the assignment, which is why they were seated in the first row during his inauguration. Corporate law firms have donated $1 billion in pro bono work to avoid retribution. Paramount will throw 60 Minutes under the bus to ensure Trump doesn’t block a merger.

In the Trump Gilded Age, everything is for sale. This includes aviation safety, which is imperiled thanks to DOGE’s FAA cuts, public education, the weather service, and prisons. To ensure tax cuts for the richest people on Earth, the world’s richest man continues to take a chainsaw to regulations, agencies, and federal jobs. Next up? Medicaid and Social Security.

As the country becomes poorer, dumber, sicker, and more overworked, the one percent will continue to thrive and feast without even having the decency to leave us cake or crumbs.

If you’re an absurdly rich person of color or immigrant, take solace in knowing this white supremacist Administration is willing to look past its bigotry for the right price. For everyone else, it’s time to work overtime and save money to buy Trump’s memecoin.
