There’s no “both sides.”
None.
Not even close.
It’s unfair, unbalanced, and purely asymmetrical warfare by the entirety of the right-wing establishment against anyone and everyone who is their critics.
Before there was a suspect or evidence of a motive, Trump and the right-wing media ecochamber blamed “the left” and transgender people for Charlie Kirk’s murder. The suspect is a white man from a conservative, Trump-voting family who loved guns and used phrases associated with the Groyper movement and gamers who often inhabit extremist online spaces.
Every leading Democrat has condemned Kirk’s murder, just like they condemned Trump’s assassination attempt, which was also done by a white man who loved guns and came from a Trump-voting conservative family. On the other hand, Utah Senator Mike Lee mocked Governor Walz after the Minnesota mass shooting. Trump has mocked Paul Pelosi’s attack in which another Trump supporter almost bludgeoned him to death. Kirk asked his followers to pay for his bail and also fully endorsed and supported the January 6th violent insurrection.
There’s no “both sides” to this.
The number one domestic terror threat in America remains right-wing extremists and white supremacists. It’s the GOAT. Nothing comes close. But you haven’t heard Trump or MAGA speak one word against them. You also haven’t heard condemnation of Nick Fuentes and the Groypers movement, who criticized Charlie Kirk and saw him as a traitor to the America First movement. After all, Trump dined with Fuentes and Kanye West two years ago and has yet to ever criticize him and his white nationalist rhetoric.
JD Vance just took over Kirk’s podcast to gaslight the world and promote radical left extremism as the major threat to America. It’s all bullshit, just like “Transgender ideology,” which doesn’t exist. It’s a projection and deflection from MAGA’s violent and criminal campaign to obtain and maintain power by any violent means necessary.
They succeed by promoting lies, conspiracy theories, false narratives, and “flooding the zone” with shit.
Thankfully, Qasim Rashid and I always try our best to call it out and respond with truth.
