Trump Goes Full Hitler and Corporate Media Shrugs It Off

One month ahead of the election, Donald Trump has embraced eugenics and bemoaned the existence of immigrants with "bad genes." Why doesn't corporate media sound the alarm?

One of the major reasons I started The Left Hook was because I was tired of playing the game of Taboo when it came to openly and accurately describing the very real, existential threats that Donald Trump and MAGA represent to our democracy.

I believe Donald Trump is racist. He doesn’t engage in “racial trip ups.”

I believe his base suffers from White supremacy. They do not suffer from “economic anxiety.” I believe he spreads lies and hateful conspiracy theories. He doesn’t “misspeak,” or tell “falsehoods” or trade in alternative facts.

I believe Donald Trump and MAGA are a right-wing authoritarian force who represent a fascist threat to democracy, and they are following Hitler’s playbook, even going so far as to use his own words, such as “poisoning the blood,” when describing immigrants.

If you think I’m being hyperbolic, let’s just look at Donald Trump’s latest comments on Hugh Hewitt’s show where he blames immigrants for being violent due to their “bad genes.” If he was talking about jeans, sure, I confess to wearing Kirkland Costco jeans which I’ll defend because they’re an excellent value at an excellent price, but no, he’s going all-in with Nazi race science. For his part, Hewitt doesn’t correct him, just like Megyn Kelly didn’t step in when National Review editor Rich Lowry accidentally/intentionally used the “N” word to describe Haitian immigrants and support Trump’s debunked conspiracies about them eating pets.

At the Detroit Economic Club, Trump decided to diss Detroit, which is always a brilliant move to win over voters in a crucial swing state, and accused immigrants of “raping our country.” It’s all projection. Every accusation is a confession. This coming from a man who was held liable for sexually assaulting E. Jean Carroll.

And yet this is how flawed and degraded establishment media covered all of this:

That’s an actual New York Times headline, folks.

Meanwhile, Trump and MAGA continue to traffic in conspiracies and lies that threaten to kill their own base in Florida during a Cat 5 Hurricane and incite violence against innocent immigrant communities.

***Update. A couple of hours after I wrote this, Trump decided to give me more evidence. Here he is with a Nazi agenda, unveiling “Operation Aurora,” which allows him massive powers to detain and deport immigrants and citizens.
