I was able to join my former CNN colleague on his show today to laugh at, pity, and mock Donald Trump’s sad, weak, pathetic performance at his Pennsylvania rally last night.
We’re seeing an orange vulgarian die in real time, shedding his bloated skin, revealing nothing but his id and corrupt thoughts that are populated by racism, grievance, and delusion.
Instead of staying on message and helping his beleaguered GOP, Trump complained about immigrants, ranted about “shit hole countries,” and mocked Ilhan Omar and her hijab.
He is broken, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t dangerous.
The GOP has now gone full Nazi to maintain the fractured coalition. You never go “full Nazi,” but this is where we are now with the modern GOP, whose young leaders are Groypers openly adoring Hitler. As Trump crumbles, Jim and I believe the man who incited a violent insurrection will do anything and everything, no matter how illegal, to stay in power and avoid accountability. For example, just today, the Trump Administration is vowing to sanction the International Criminal Court unless they pledge not to prosecute Trump and his Reeks for crimes. Yup, totally a normal thing that non-criminal people do all the time.
I appear on Jim’s show around the 20-minute mark, but I recommend listening to Senator Mark Kelly, who makes a welcome defense of immigrants, and Dr. Rob Davidson, a previous guest, who discusses how RFK Jr and the CDC are on a pro-death march.
