As the world celebrates Spain’s victory over Argentina, it also braces for the violent consequences and escalation from Trump and Netanyahu’s illegal, failed war in Iran.
It was just reported that at least three U.S. soldiers have been killed in the past two days. Yesterday, two soldiers were killed after an Iranian missile and drone attack in Jordan. Earlier today, another soldier died in Iraq, "during a controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian one-way attack drone,” according to US Central Command.
Thousands of Iranians and Lebanese people have been killed, and at least one million Lebanese have been illegally displaced by Israel, which continues its maximalist agenda and genocide against Palestinians. Instead of realizing this is an unwinnable war, the Trump Administration continues to double down, assuming Iran will somehow bend the knee and break.
Unfortunately, the exact opposite has happened.
The Strait of Hormuz remains closed, gas prices are still high, America’s allies in the region are still under threat, and Iran, despite its losses, has emerged as a regional power.
Regardless, the American military industrial complex that profits both political parties remains committed to Israel, AIPAC, and war. We are entering a dangerous phase of this unwinnable war that threatens to destabilize the world further.
