An unnecessary, reckless, and unprovoked war with Venezuela is a great way to distract from failed economic policies that have caused your Administration to suffer from some of the worst poll numbers in recent history.
On Wednesday afternoon, President Trump bragged about seizing one of the largest oil tankers off the Venezuelan coast, and following it up with, “I assume we’re going to keep the oil.” His reek, Pam Bondi, later tweeted the tanker was sanctioned by the United States “due to its involvement in an illicit oil shipping network supporting foreign terrorist organizations.”
Sure, Jan.
The world is still awaiting evidence of alleged drug trafficking that was the pretext for the Trump Administration to murder Venezuelan fishermen without due process. I predict we will continue waiting for evidence that shows this oil tanker was “supporting foreign terrorist organizations.” Most likely, the Trump Administration is simply going gung-ho with their Project 2025 agenda to replace Maduro with a puppet leader that will allow the broligarchy to take advantage of Venezuela’s oil and resources.
The “America First” president, who just gave himself the first FIFA “Peace” Award, seems hell-bent on creating a crisis to justify war with Venezuela and unleash the Insurrection Act at home against “Antifa terrorists.” Meanwhile, he’s pardoning violent insurrectionists, fraudsters, money launderers, and an actual drug trafficker, the former President of Honduras.
Even as Trump sinks in the ratings, he must continue the grift. However, all of these distractions aren’t working, according to Lev Parnas, a former Trump fixer with sources inside the Administration. The Trump world remains rattled by the poll numbers and the blue tsunami in November. The huge win in Miami last night revealed that reliable Cuban GOP voters are now defecting. The economy isn’t getting better, and people aren’t forgetting the Epstein Files, which undoubtedly features a lot of Donald Trump.
As such, they’re going all-in with racism and straight-up Nazi talking points to hold the fractured base together. But it doesn’t seem to be working as MTG and others are actively defecting. Lev and I warn that just because MTG is distancing herself from Trump, that doesn’t mean she’s given up extremism or white Christian nationalism. They are simply regrouping for a relaunch after King Trump dies.
