This is page one of the Miami Herald today.
No matter how many times Donald Trump starts illegal wars and engages in military strikes, it will never be enough to make people forget that he was best friends with the world’s most notorious pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.
The Trump Administration is clearly engaging in one of the most scandalous and far-reaching political cover-ups in history.
The Justice Department has yet to give an adequate explanation as to why it scrubbed the three interview summaries of a credible woman who accused Trump of sexually assaulting her as a teenager. Now, elements of her story have been corroborated by Post and Courier over the weekend. Trump’s Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick has yet to explain why he lied to the American public about his extensive ties to Epstein, but he has voluntarily agreed to appear before the House Oversight Committee. He’ll be joined by Attorney General Pam Bondi, who was subpoenaed last week.
I’d love for the elected officials to ask her about allegations made by Epstein’s inmates that they overheard prison guards discussing his murder and cover-up. Why were the security cameras pointed away from his cell? Why were there so many rookie mistakes when it came to collecting and storing evidence? Why did the Manhattan Medical Examiner (OCME) sign a confidentiality agreement "in connection with the investigation into the murder of Epstein?"
Also, why did a prison guard receive a mysterious $5K payment ten days before his death? Why did Trump’s Attorney General at the time, Bill Barr, visit Epstein in prison, and what was discussed? Also, why is Ghislain Maxwell in a minimum security camp, receiving pampered treatment, and not in her Florida prison serving out her 20-year sentence?
To break it all down, sift facts from lies and conspiracies, add in key details, and give a broader picture of the story, I talked to investigative journalists Ellie Leonard and Zev Shalev, who have been on the story since Day 1.
Tell us your opinion. Do you think Epstein killed himself or was he murdered?
