After a few years, she left not only dejected but convinced that these companies and their billionaire leaders are aggressively committed to destroying humanity for the sake of power and profit. She wrote about her experiences in the book Abolish Silicon Valley and warned about the rise of these fascist racists nearly six years ago.
Author and astrophysicist Adam Becker took a deeper dive last year into the actual ideology and beliefs of these Silicon Valley billionaires, investigating their utopian goals of space travel, transhumanism, and living forever with the aid of AI and technology. Turns out, it’s a bunch of ridiculous, unscientific bullshit rooted in eugenics and hyperbole. Mars is utterly inhospitable for human life, and the people who promote such absurd ideas, such as Elon Musk, are in fact idiots whose dangerous stupidity is only tolerated but promoted due to his immense wealth and army of bots and sycophants.
This week, former Anthropic employees have gone viral for expressing their fears that the technology they’re building could actually destroy humanity. Both Wendy and Adam believe the threat of a real-life Skynet and Hal 9000 emerging and destroying humanity is exaggerated. However, what’s actually real and happening right now is the emergence of Bond supervillains abusing power, money, and technology to crush humanity and democracy.
