He is completely useless. It’s time for him to go.

James Rankin's avatar

He never was useful. A failure from the start.

My message to Schumer (which I’m quite sure did not submit because I’m not his district); I’ve been a registered Democrat since the 80s. If you cave and support this budget (as a federal retiree) I will register decline to state. We need leaders, not kneelers. I’d rather die standing on my feet than on my knees. You, Senator Schumer have been on your knees so long you don’t even know you’ve caved.

Schumer needs to sit down somewhere! He is completely out of his league with this rogue ass administration. His, Fetterman’s, and the other Dem’s phone who will vote for this crap needs to blow up with calls tomorrow morning!

They can either stand with the American people or give trump a free pass to continue dismantling our democracy for another six months. They will be actively enabling the very forces that threaten our institutions, our rights, and our future.

We need leaders with courage, not politicians willing to sell out America's democracy. History will remember who stood firm—and who folded.

Write to Schumer NOW!

Here's Fetterman's :

Wow WA. Well written! Sir, you speak the truth. Let me tell you something. I first voted when I was 18 years old. When I was a kid, you had to be 21 to vote or buy a beer. But you were eligible to be drafted or fight in a war pre 21. That’s why they changed the laws. But back to today. I have voted Democratic since I was 18. Every damn election. I will never vote Republican because they have always only cared about money. But, I may not vote anymore if Democrats can’t stand up for working people. What Schumer said today wanted to make me throw up! Does this old man think all of us are that damn stupid? Evidently he does. AOC or someone in NY needs to run against that sorry excuse of a man!!! Let me state this plainly. Cory Booker & true Dem Senators need to have a revolt. Schumer is bought & paid for. The old bastard ain’t going to change either. The moment of truth has arrived. Do we talk the talk, but can’t walk the walk? I hope to see a young Democrat, in the House or Senate call sorry this sell out publicly. In front of a camera & microphone! It is time! We can’t do this anymore. All is on the line. Please, I am begging. Someone step up!!!

how long will it take to scrub the boot polish off his lips? he is a traitor to the party. i hope the remainder of the legislature are not lemmings, following him off the cliff. (i have sent dozens of emails regarding this resolution. if the dems cave, i am done with them)

kathi wright's avatar

but wait…there’s more… i watched simon rosenberg and so maybe i should be nicer to ole chuck, based on simon’s words. but i am fed up with the dems and their wet noodles they bring to the knife fight.

Nikky's avatar

I am so sick of that whole party.. maybe 40 percent of them have any fight in them... Anybody who has no fight needs to retire... Anybody who switches sides needs to go away..

Calling my senators in the morning to oppose!

Cher Anne's avatar

Call his office tomorrow morning, send an email tonight, He is outrageous with this spineless response. The republicans have been manipulating him for years. Enough step down.

Truckeeman's avatar

I've been writing to Schiff to take some leadership.

James Rankin's avatar

He has done it before. He acted like a senator when he was in the House. But since winning the Senate, he's acted more like a Rep. I no longer see the leadership he used to display.

PRO TIP: “Waste, Fraud & Abuse”

With no evidence, Trump keeps repeating this phrase. He & Musk are making shit up to justify the firing of honest public servants, $topping inve$tigation$ into Mu$k’$ bu$ine$$ practice$, & giving him more Gov’t contract$.

And Schumer is going to help codify this behavior?! His “leadership” needs to be challenged and he should be replaced before the vote. This isn’t just disappointing (like Susan Collins might say). He’s selling out the country!

Moira Green's avatar

And let’s not forget the Democratic senators who voted for Trump’s horrifying cabinet nominations. Another grotesque betrayal.

David Berger's avatar

The Democrats have demonstrated over and over again that they’re useless. And there’s no indication that younger party candidates are any better.

Time to lexit (left exit).

James Rankin's avatar

AOC, Crockett, Casar & Frost are among the young ones that have been leading the fight.

Cassie's avatar

And BERNIE! He's crushing it like no other!💗💪🏽🎉

James Rankin's avatar

If you consider 83 years old "young". Certainly young at heart with seemingly endless energy & spirit.

David Berger's avatar

How? By making speeches? There have been hundreds of demonstrations all over the country. And not one of them was organized by the Democrats. And now, they’re going to support the Trump budget resolution. Fuck ‘em!

James Rankin's avatar

Not the people I mentioned. They are trying to change Schumer's mind.

David Berger's avatar

Ever try to unthrow a baseball?

A Mass movement is rising against Trump.

And you want to give that power to the Republicans junior partner?

James Rankin's avatar

If by "junior partner", you mean Schumer, let me make it clear to you, I have been opposed to Schumer since I first knew of him decades ago & have never wanted him in any senior position within the Democratic Party. I want him out immediately. He has done great damage to the Democratic brand & kept progressive policies from even being considered, let alone enacted.

David Berger's avatar

The damage has already been done. Schumer and Co. are as worthless as tits on a bull.

Kosmos's avatar

Chuck Schumer may still be Jewish, contra Trump's nasty antisemitic gaslighting, but his abject acquiescence to Trump on the funding bill belies his lack of chutzpah and balls.

Laura❤️♓️☮️'s avatar

I don’t want to be ageist because, honestly, I can’t…Bernie Sanders is killing it! But, I agree Leader Schumer is not the “leader” that this country needs in order to defeat this fascist takeover of our government!

Henry Milton Robinson-Duff's avatar

Calling my Senator to oppose his decision. I am ashamed to say I am a Born and raised New Yorker. He needs to either develop a spine or resign from office. Maybe it’s that brand new Tesla in his driveway he is sporting

Lorie Mayorga's avatar

Schumer made me want to shoot myself, and usually I reserve that reaction for Trump and his cronies. I sent an email to the Senate to tell him I'm thinking of moving back home to New York to vote him out.
