Hashtags for the fight: Ernst proves that today’s GOP is #ProSTRIFE. the “family values” party only values families with 7-digit bank accounts. For the rest, it’s “Let them eat BOOTSTRAPS!”. She and Noem are delusional with their #OrangePrivilege, thinking that they are as untouchable as #DonaldDuce. They aren’t conservative, they’re #CORPservative - in servitude to their corporate and billionaire donors. That debt makes them #CowardlyComplicit in elbowing aside democracy for #RepubloFascism. OK Dems, time to rebrand yourselves as the party deploying #22ndCenturyThinking, where care for each other and the planet outweigh monopoly capitalism, where justice and equality preserve the species despite having to overcome its worst urges of greed delivered through weaponized hatred, division, racism, xenophobia, misogyny, and that sense of unjustified superiority.

"Affirmative action for bootlicking white supremacists" made me laugh- but it shouldn't. There is nothing funny about it. I am sickened to watch the kowtowing with the faux thanks and praise for their dear leader. I heard a new federal worker tonight state that they are now asked to sign a pledge of loyalty to 47 AND write an essay about what he means to them. What the heck? Companies named for something out of Lord of the Rings? What kind of dark, dystopian fantasy kingdom are we living in? Where did they hide the United States of America that I used to live in? Please, someone, uncloak it before it's too late!

Democrats are so busy watching and listening to Republicans wagging dogs that they have missed the dog wagging its tail. How have the "brains" of our society missed bringing this information on technological fascism fully to light? Is it that those who discovered the hidden agenda failed to synthesize it or that they failed to bring it to light? In a democratic society, we depend on EVERYONE to play their roles and do their jobs, in order for the rest of us to keep abreast and make intelligent decisions. Some complain about the "dumbing down" of American society- has this been part of the plan all along?

Why is it that Independents and former Republicans such as journalists on Substack are often the ones bringing the deviousness of what is happening only after persistent digging and unearthing? Why aren't Democratic politicians gathering up these heavenly gems and gifts, as Waj pointed out? Please, Democratic politicians, stop looking at the dogs being wagged and running to each and every tree to pee on them. Stop and look at the forest to figure out where you are and make an intelligent plan to come out on other side of it. Stop running blindly around inside the forest looking suspiciously at each tree. This is the literal example of "missing the forest for the trees." We won't stand a chance if we can't figure this out. We may make it through this time, but regimes improve and learn from their mistakes, with each failure. We can't rest on laurels of each win but must strive to keep winning then reflect on our own failure to avoid this from happening again.

Brilliant discussion. Keep at it, Gil. Your work is a well researched expose of the players and ideology behind the purposeful deconstruction of our government. It is essential that "the people" understand the reality we are facing. Word is getting out and gaining attention. TY

Love Gil Doran. Agree that the main stream media is failing. Any person who promoted fascism (Elon) is no genius.

Democratic establishment needs to be eradicated.

Fabulous as always, Mr. Ali! Keep speaking truth to power.

Ignatius J. Reilly is back, and he's on the warpath. In a fair world, Mencius Moldbug would be selling weenies on the fucking street corner, maybe dressed as a pirate to attract attention.
