DEI For White Supremacy: Donald Trump’s Extremely Incompetent Cabinet
DEI initiatives are back in the White House, except this time it's only for white candidates who are the most corrupt, mediocre, incompetent, compromised, and loyal to Donald Trump and his fickle ego.
(New York Magazine)
In addition to being self-destructive, White Supremacy has always been extremely delusional and ignorant.
It’s a necessary pre-requisite for an ideology of supremacy that needs to disregard facts, history, science, and common sense to rationalize its existence. It needs to manufacture and feed the “myth” that the white man founded this country and “birthed it from nothing.” They measure skulls, obsessively believe in junk science about IQs, and invest in eugenics to prove that the “white man” is indeed genetically superior to those of us who come from “shit hole countries” and as such he is ordained by God and nature to rule Earth as a benevolent dictator. They must recreate history and build up “the Lost Cause” of the Civil War to portray slavers as noble dignitaries simply trying to preserve the honor and culture of the South.
Whenever people ask me for an example of White supremacy or white privilege, I give them Robert E. Lee, a treasonous racist who lost a war and was rewarded with numerous statues and schools named after him. Meanwhile, we still await Harriett Tubman on the $20 bill.
All of this takes me to Donald Trump and MAGA’s recent attack on DEI initiatives and anything else that expands U.S. history to include the rest of us as its co-protagonists, pushes this country to remedy its numerous wrongs, and allows it to fulfill its idea of being a truly expansive and equal democracy. Leading up to the 2024 election, Republicans have zealously repackaged their culture war initiatives into the Trojan Horse of DEI, which also goes by its street name, “wokeness.” They even attacked Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson as “a DEI hire” despite her being absurdly more qualified than her white colleagues on the bench
You must have realized by now that nearly every attack by MAGA against the majority is a hypocritical projection. Every accusation is a confession.
Rep. Nancy Mace is currently targeting and harassing Rep. Sarah McBride for being transgender under the guise of protecting women and girls, but Mace doesn’t have much to say about Rep. Matt Gaetz allegedly having sex with minors. MAGA loves women so much that they just voted for a man who was held liable for sexually assaulting and defaming a woman. They love freedom so much that they want to ban books. They love law and order so much that they support violent insurrectionists. And on and on it goes - especially with their attack on DEI measures which they allege unfairly benefit minorities and harm white people. According to them, all such endeavors should be removed and we should instead rely on “merit.” Oh, unless it involves white students, then Trump has promised to pay them reparations as “victims of DEI.”
Speaking of merit, Donald Trump woke up on third base and his followers sincerely believe he hit a triple. He was born with a golden and silver spoon in his mouth courtesy of his racist, corrupt, landlord millionaire father who used his wealth to get Donald out of Vietnam based on fake “bone spurs.” His Art of the Deal was ghostwritten bullshit meant to create a myth of a man who would ultimately amount to a fraud with a history of business incompetence, nepotism, and multiple bankruptcies. Later in life, Donald was given another gift in Hollywood myth-making with The Apprentice which mainstreamed him into public life and gave him a stepping stool to the White House despite having zero political or public service experience.
Do tell us more about “merit,” Republicans.
Republicans love DEI and Affirmative Action hires as long as it’s for themselves. They don’t even bring their best but simply elevate mediocrity. Just reflect on Trump’s evolving clown show cabinet and you’ll see a massive DEI initiative to help sycophantic reeks, grifters, inexperienced noobs, and sexual assaulters.
Let’s look at Matthew Whitaker, who is Trump’s pick for US ambassador to NATO and who previously served as Trump’s acting attorney general despite having little to no experience in security. He won that job after auditioning on cable news. Shockingly, for this new role, he also has little to no experience with foreign policy. President Biden’s NATO ambassador, Julianne Smith, “spoke three languages, had lived in Europe multiple times and was a deep expert on Europe, NATO, the Pentagon and the White House.” Whitaker once promoted a “masculine toilet” to help “well-endowed men.” His only qualification seems to be that he’s a die-hard Trumper, or as Donald said, “Matt is a strong warrior and loyal Patriot.” The man has merit, folks.
Trump also tapped Linda McMahon to lead the Department of Education even though she, like Trump’s former Sec. of Education Betsy Devos, has no relevant experience as an educator. In 2009, McMahon incorrectly claimed to have a degree in the field. Meanwhile, President Biden’s Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona has spent his entire professional career as an educator starting as a fourth-grade teacher. But the one thing Cardona doesn’t have is a sex scandal! McMahon does have that in common with Donald Trump and several of his picks. She is currently embroiled in a sexual abuse scandal along with her husband Vince McMahon.
The Trump Administration is a safe space for sexual predators. There’s Pete Hegseth, his pick for Secretary of Defense, who has spent the past few years as a host on Fox where he accidentally almost killed a man with an ax and bragged about not washing his hands for 10 years. He’s a veteran who was cited as an “insider threat” by one of his colleagues due to his numerous extremist tattoos. Meanwhile, Biden’s pick Gen. Lloyd Austin is a retired 4-star general with no such blemishes on his impeccable record of service. Like Donald Trump, Hegseth also paid off a woman to prevent her from filing a lawsuit that could damage his career. He sure has merit.
If I did this for every pick, this article would be 10 pages. Look at RFK Jr. as the head of Health of Human Services even though he has no medical experience, believes in crank conspiracies, and his anti-vax advice left more than 80, mostly children, dead in Samoa due to measles. There’s Tulsi Gabbard, a Putin talking head, as the Director of National Intelligence despite having no deep intelligence experience. Here comes Matt Gaetz as Attorney General, the top cop in the country responsible for investigating crimes even as he allegedly committed sex crimes with a minor.
Every time Republicans talk about merit in response to an initiative meant to truly help people of color, the poor, or women just throw all of this in their faces and walk away. Every time they mock Affirmative Action and DEI, just call them out and say, “What are you talking about? You all feast off it. Just look at Trump’s Cabinet.” It’s time to stop being bullied by bad faith, hypocritical actors who work the refs and complain about “identity politics” even as their sole reason for being is to keep elevating mediocre, incompetent, corrupt white people who exist to grift America and fellate Trump.
That being said, we can be magnanimous as well. Let’s pour one out for all the poor Black Republicans who gave up their dignity and pride for Trump believing it would elevate their careers. Not a single one has been picked by Trump. Senator Tim Scott even got engaged to a real-life, human woman, and so far it’s crickets. (Look at what they make you give, POC for MAGA.)
DEI is back, folks. But, unfortunately, it’s only for MAGA and white supremacy.
Truth and Facts this evening,Waj, you've explained the Maga Republicans to a " T" here. More worse, the whole World is Watching this Debacle unfold in shock and dismay. Thank You for your insight and will reStack ASAP 🙏💯🙏
Well said! He’s really nominating himself over and over. Like these losers, he is a completely unqualified, amoral person. They get bonus points for being lawbreakers or disloyal to the US like he is. It’s pathetic.
