Yes, I will vote for Harris--but I won't donate to her campaign and have crafted a letter explaining why which I cut in paste in reply to every damn funding come-on I get. (It's on my own Substack if you care). Since I started this last Saturday, I've sent DOZENS of these letters. I'm pretty sure some IT person for the campaign has relegated my email addresses (I use two) to automatic trash. But they still seem to be getting through, not being turned back as undeliverable.
If we ALL did this, would it help? No clue.
I was one of those Dems who voted for Eugene McCarthy, not Humphrey. We got Nixon. He was pretty horrible, but nowhere NEAR trump. Trump is orders of magnitude worse. I am reading Invisible Rulers by Renee DiResta and it started me worrying that I might be in an "echo chamber" on this, both by who I subscribe to on Substack (both of you, inter alia) and on Facebook, where several dozens of my friends are Jewish and agree with me. But then I think: if caring above all for human rights for all people is an "echo chamber" view--that's the chamber gladly I choose to live in.

People in Israel want to return to their homes.
Palestinians and Lebanese have no home to return to.
Some Israelis people believe they are entitled to kill people in mass genocide.
Putin continues to kill Ukrainians in their entitled belief that they are entitled to annex Ukraine.

I feel that Israel, a country notorious for their surveillance abilities, had to know. They had also been warned by wall guards on the southern border of initial reports of unusual activity.

Wasn't there a ceasefire on October 6? Ceasefire means nothing to Hamas except that they will break it at a time of their choosing. I have no idea what kind of ceasefire Biden envisions but what I do know is that if it leaves Hamas in power and armed to the teeth Israel would be out of their minds to accept it. And if it requires Hamas to give up power and disarm then Hamas will reject it. What I also know is that there is no way Hamas will ever release all the hostages because they are the only reason Israel is showing any restraint at all. Sharon ended the occupation of Gaza in 2005.
