Earlier today, the Department of Justice accused Russia of using Tenet Media, the platform of right-wing provacateurs David Rubin and Tim Poole, to influence and target the 2024 election. Two employees of Russia Today allegedly funelled $10 million into the conservative outlet and used it to mainstream pro-Russian talking points and promote Donald Trump.
Speaking of Russian puppets, Trump’s former criminal campaign manager Paul Manafort was spotted at the recent Republican National Convention. Before volunteering to help the Trump campaign, Manafort worked with a Russian billionaire to help the Putin government. For his part, Trump has never criticized Putin and has spent the past 9 years acting like his personal “Reek.” But Trump’s loyalty can easily be bought. Recently, it was revealed that Trump was allegedly paid $10 million by Egypt just before he became President. Over the summer, former Democratic Senator Bob Menendez was found guilty of taking bribes and acting as Egypt’s foreign agent.
It’s lucrative to be a public official! Being a foreign agent is a bipartisan occupation. You'll have the worst authoritarian regimes willing to pay you in cash and gold bars to do their bidding. In exchange, you simply have to undermine U.S. security and attack international law, democracy, and human rights
I had the pleasure of talking to author and activist Casey Michel about his latest book which exposes the awesome extent of foreign lobbying in the U.S. and how it intersects with think tanks, academia, the government, and media to undermine our democracy.
The timing of this interview is sadly on the nose but I assure you it was conducted just a few days ago.
Grab a chai and give us a listen.
