I always thought the Fox News reporters looked a little 'plastic, like they are wearing some kind of rubber masks...all so uniform and without blemish🤔 ...reminds me of the Twilight Zone🥵

you said WHY are they doing this , well i have a qanon, MAGA nut neighbor , several hats , flags , stickers you name it .

he told me a couple years ago, this all ties to the MAGA peep think that America is a LIE !

all tied to the protocols of the elders of zion, I know I KNOW . its all fucking nuts , but the reality is they say BURN THE ENTIRE THING TO THE GROUND in order to fix it .

i dont agree with the need or the method or any of it But .......

as sick as it is , thats the story , at least from one very embedded magat

The why of the ground troops/suckers is very different from the why of those who actually benefit.

No one works harder than you, Waj, (maybe living up to your immigrant roots having to work 10X as hard), but I cannot thank you enough!!! RBG is a treasure, thank you for bringing her voice!

There was a program like this under George W. Bush, called "gana la verde", and contestants were doing horrible things, with the promise that the winner would get a green card. Disgusting!!

It's very important to pull the curtain away from the show so people can see how they are being taken.

The cost of the show-off Rolex watch and the hair extensions (or real hair) fashion, can be analyzed as typical MAGA women "uniform"- make up effecting the Kewpie doll image.

NO shame- Behind, Noem the many men prisoners.

What is most frightening is the massing and staging the many bare bodies behind her and in other photos. These prisoners, tattoos showing, in El Salvador, have not had their cases heard. They are not individuals but props as RB-G says. The excuse Trump gives, ignorance in full view: we cannot have so many trials.

Re dehumanization... this sadism on display trains other people who are open to this (or who need it) to applaud it, bringing out the worst, giving permission to hate and for cruelty... getting even for whatever. Terrible.

The trump show is like thousands of parents (Judges, protestors, congress etc.) dealing with an out of control teenager that won't take their meds. and has created his own juvenile group to identify with as his real family. Watching this all happen through the media is so unbelievably crazy - it's like one huge out of control dysfunctional family taking over the world!! AAaaargh!

Each person who wishes to participate in not only returning to a democratic society what has been taken away does so with the skill set and knowledge one brings to their organization of engagement through work. Few will ever go to trial and win a landmark case that brings human dignity to a marginalized population. Shutting down the Department of Education has resulted in a condemnation of Special Education professionals whose work by its very nature is that of an advocate in a society that continues to underestimate a marginalized ability to derive meaning from text, from technology from listening and seeing or using sensory input regardless of some limitations. It was not that long ago since human beings were rescued from the former Willowbrook Institution that abused lower functioning humans.

Thanks, again, Waj. I exhort and tell friends and acquaintenances to RESIST and PROTEST.

Examples you and Ruth chat here about are easy for others to grasp.

The big challenges to RESISTING AND PROTESTING I discern are:

1. this decentralized movement means folks must become organized on a self level. This provides little feedback to the protester, BUT can indirectly inspire others - as you point out..

2. its tough to check / stop bullies until they get that our resistance is real and will keep coming at them. Paybacks aren't pretty, but they do bite your in the butt.

3. Congressional Reps are on a daily treadmill of BS, lies and half truths from current administration so they compartmentalize 2026 elections. This is at their peril because their anti-democracy actions or inactions will be remembered by their own constituents

I just re-read "It Can't Happen Here" by Nobel-winning Sinclair Lewis.

The number of parallels in Trump's America with this 1935 novel makes it seem like Trump must have read it. But we know that Trump doesn't read. . .

After starting a bit slow, the ball keeps rolling into a dictatorial America.
