Wajahat, I'm old. I read fast. I don't want to listen. Transcript services are supposedly inexpensive, if not possible by AI.

What's the chance we can get transcripts for your interviews?

Under the video, where the “like,” “comment,” etc. icons, there is a “Transcript” button next to the ‘share’ button. Click on it and you have an instant full transcript for each episode available now. I hope this helps.

I’ve yet to hear any remorse or reflection from the press, even about 16 election or Covid. Jan 6?? Just defensive superiority as if we just don’t understand their work.

This is exactly what it is. No self reflection, just haughty superiority, reinforced by fancy journalism school degrees and the cloak of a storied or reputable outlet. It's infuriating. They suck at their jobs and no one can criticize them. They're going to have to reap the whirlwind, along with the rest us, of the world they create with their own arrogance when US journalism starts looking just like Russian State TV (some of it already does, obviously), but it either doesn't register or they're too caught up in their own nonsense to do anything about it.

They're only worried about their jobs. The owners of the networks are telling them what to do; whether they want to or not. Lay off cheeto-head or else ... lose your job. I bet they signed something saying they had to do so before they showed up at his property, but they do so everywhere. The media went after the Biden administration like stink-on-shit, and are completely quiet when in the presence of the wannabe dictator? I find that telling; don't you?

I stopped consuming news from all corporate media about a month ago, and I feel SO MUCH better! Thanks to all of you who produce accurate content on independent media!

In addition, it’s really frustrating when the printed press takes the diarrhea that runs out of DJT’s no answer responses and rewrites into something like a stated policy. They need to repeat verbatim his gibberish as spoken. If it was someone else, they micro-process on one tiny phrase and word smith it. That is definitely not asymmetry. Great guest. Interesting taking us back to the ‘moment’ they got their job. Lawrence O’Donnell was the hero of the day calling this disparity out.

Professor Jay‘s “kinda/sorta” evaluation of the issues is way off the mark - and he takes forever to present it. No wonder the press doesn’t get it. They have no time to listen. And what the hell is “asymmetry” in terms of good and evil? The rat hole of “fair and balanced” is alive and well in this analysis.

Look, the media behave like sharks in a feeding frenzy. They want excitement for their viewers. Trump is all lies, and these days not much excitement, but as a carnival clown he was good value for money. The revolt on Jan. 6 made news outlet sit back for a moment, and I assume they thought most viewers were unlikely to be happy with anything other than negative coverage of that awful day.

I have no clue what made outlets like CNN go all in for balance—insurrections should not be given “balance”—they should be banished from the airwaves. I thought insurrection and treason were similar crimes. And I know what the punishment for treason used to be. Instead of being had up for one of the most serious crimes imaginable, Donald Trump was normalized and allowed to run again for President. So the media gave him “fair coverage”. It makes me feel like Alice through the Looking Glass.

The media individually (those covering the Mar-a-Lago news conference) do seem to be intimidated by the man. I can only suppose they are either afraid he will shout over them and make them look foolish, or that he will come after them in an ad hominem attack.

I gather immediate gratification from viewers tuning in to watch the clown show is worth more than saving democracy. Don’t get me wrong—as Trump is a candidate, he should get coverage, but not on his own terms at the drop of a hat. He should go through channels just as everyone else does. But he knows any attention is better than none. Viewers are a fickle lot.
