I am one of those “over 65” yo women AND Roe was overturned on my birthday. I was raised in a VERY Catholic neighborhood and witnessed first hand what the lack of access to birth control did to women’s lives. I’m so so so proud to be part of a constituency making sure we’re “not going back!!!”
I am cautiously optimistic and love your reporting and analysis.... but, I will indulge in pre-election anxious nit picking.
First...reminder: Hillary Clinton did win in 2016, if the will of the people were the determining factor... but lost the electoral college vote "by a whisker".
Second: It wasn't by "luck" that Trump was able to get Kavanaugh on the court. Had the hearings been honest and had investigations of his sexual misconduct not been suppressed, I'm confident that even the spineless Susan Collins would not have been able confirm. With the truth fully known, had Collins voted to confirm, she might have lost her reelection in 2020. While that might not have changed the confirmation outcome, at least we might have been rid of Collins.
People should NEVER live in a land where no one respects the laws. And yet we are now living in one. We must do everything in our power to bring back that respect and vote in the people who make those laws. Republicans have broken that respect. Vote BLUE.
Exactly how I feel. It’s going to be ok.
i’ve been in a bold and foolish mood all week! let’s fucking GO!!

I hope so. I worked hard for Hillary’s campaign. After that I am afraid to hope too much. But I do.
Here! Here!
May it be so !

For a little election day levity, enjoy this from Michael Moore. https://www.michaelmoore.com/p/dear-donald-a-dear-john-letter-to?r=49zdl&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
Courage!

Lovely to read a strong dose of optimism on election morn. I feel it too.
Our finite resource
Our escalating consumption
Our U.S. corporate mandated leadership
Our complicit citizens fuelling existential threat
Our media fulfilling designed prophecy
Now, Executive, Congressional, judiciary and corporate / and independent press align.
Designing our future, deciding who is sacrificed, a gamble determining the survivors. Imagine the calculations?
Fighting over scraps as our flooded poisoned planet is set ablaze
