I have now read the transcript. Biden does indeed make coherent sense. Even his "gaffes" weren't really.
He could have expressed the bit about Roe better, but he accurately described it: states COULD under Roe have made laws about post-viability "abortions" though not to prohibit them when the mother's life was at stake. In fact, few did--and certainly none passed laws that allowed abortion on a whim after viability.
And the "beat Medicare?" Tapper cut him off. We don't know what he would have said. It could have been "beat Medicare rules that one couldn't negotiate with drug companies to lower prices." Or "beat Medicare's constant assault by the right." Or "[will] beat Medicare deficits by raising contributions from the rich.
As I am 80 and still kicking fine I don't much mind the age issue, particularly since Trump is old and clearly NOT competent to do anything but bray lies. (Well, my physical ability to kick is down, but getting shaky in the limbs has zippo to do with mental competence. It's not like a president has to win a kick boxing competition. I even discounted the escorting of trump down that ramp as having anything to do with his overall idiocy.
I remain totally befuddled as to why the NYT, WaPo, and other MSM think they will somehow be better off under an elderly man who clearly proclaims their news is fake (though only when its about him). Under trump they are likely to see prior restraint, not to mention libel suits, up the yin yang.
I do disagree strongly with regard to Biden's position on the Gaza war. But trump would be no better and probably a whole lot worse. So of course I'm going to vote for Biden. I'm not a "one issue voter."

One thing about Biden and Pelosi is to see Democrats, after 40 years of spinelessness, assert that they do, indeed, possess working spines that are capable of standing up straight and giving it back to the GOPer flimflam artists. It's awfully hard to find anyone honorable in that party anymore. If there is any justice to be had in November, it is to sweep out at least 50 from the GOP clown car in the House and at least 10 in the Senate who failed their way up the career ladder and have no business being there.

Pledge to be his communications director or press secretary and then join him on the campaign trail? I’m serious. Sorry, but humans take in most of their information through their eyes. Biden looked teetering, erratic, sickly and, yes, very very old. Candidates have to show voters that they're in better hands with you at the helm ("show" being the operative word here). If you can't clearly communicate (either visually, or with your words -- which by the way viewers often couldn't decipher, make sense of, or connect with) -- and if you can't even rebut your opponent's constant lies (a.k.a. missing open layups) -- then I'm afraid you've lost enough undecideds to make the difference. That doesn't mean all undecideds will vote for Trump. But it guarantees they can't vote for Biden. If this is about winning elections, one can't just point to Trump and say, "but look at him." That's already baked in. Folks need a clear reason to turn to Trump's opponent and decide: "Yes, I'd be in much better hands with this person."
Let me just say that I think BIDEN should stay in the race. But if he doesn’t and the VP is not the candidate I will not vote because for me racism will have won and it won’t matter who the winner is. I will be f$&&ked.
