Waj my brother... I so love that you are in my second home, Philly - city of brotherly love! How cool! 😎🙏🏼💙😊💞

Yo! Would ya be a legend and pick me up a few things? Let's see... a cheesesteak from Pat's (wit'out), a Coney Island hotdog (on the potato roll) and chocolate shake from Nifty Fifties, 5 tubs of Dutch Chocolate ice-cream from Wawa, a few fresh chicken and mayo hoagies, some fresh cannolis, Amish-style creamed coleslaw (you're welcome to the olives on top), umm... what else? I think that's it, I'll update if I forget something. 🤭😉🙂🙏🏼🤲🏼

Welcome to Philadelphia, Waj...the birthplace of democracy and the birthplace of, well, me! I did not know about the event, but I'll put myself on the waitlist! Is there ANY chance that you can livestream this event, since the tickets are free?

I was reflecting on recent immigrants who came to enjoy our freedoms and a better life for themselves. We are watching some of these freedoms dissipate one by one. Some came to escape brutalities in a country they once knew and loved. Let's be clear...for our Black and Brown brothers and sisters who come to secure a safer and more comfortable future for their children and future descendants, this has mostly been a difficult journey, costing them dearly their hard-earned money or enduring other hardships. Some of them are heartlessly being kicked out of the country, mandated to a life of inhumane treatment after they thought they were granted asylum and safety! Yet, as tax dollar-funded planes are herding off these kidnapped "tired and the poor, huddled masses yearning to be free", we ushered in a "white flight" of South Africans, the "right kind of immigrants" as the president has state previously. We not only welcomed them with open borders (for them!) but our tax dollars paid to fly them in, house them, and help find farms that we can gift them. I imagine that we will add them happily to our insurance systems, perhaps Medicaid that we seek to take from our citizens. None of this makes any sense to me, especially when I see that the VP's wife's parents came here from India and the Prez's wife from Slovenia. As many of you, I fear for the present and future that this country would be unrecognizable to my ancestors who fought and died for our democracy and to set the groundwork for "inalienable rights" which are becoming obliterated right before our very eyes.

the Republicans have slipped in a provision into the "Big, Beautiful, Budget Bill" that would allow Trump to ignore every TRO or injunction that has already been issued against the administration! it is buried, hidden, in the many too many pages and words of a piece of legislation that is not available for public reading until Congress has passed it into law.

that provision, if passed by congress, will legally allow the president to ignore the judiciary. it will make lawlessness legal for a corrupt president. we must stop this before people who have not read ALL of the bill make it into law.

PLEASE POST THIS FAR AND WIDE. WE MUST STOP THIS CORRUPTION.

We are at a point where the “obvious” attacks on our democracy, evidenced by the lying and misinformation about habeas corpus, are from Trump’s storm troopers and idiots who wouldn’t know the truth even if they were staring at it in the mirror. Whereas Trump obviously nominated key office holders who were beholden to him, the mere fact that most were totally unqualified and survived Senate confirmation falls squarely on the shoulders of Senators who voted for the confirmations knowing full well of the shortcomings and ineptitude of those nominees. Each one is carrying a lot of baggage which normally would disqualify them from taking office. Now we need to point our collective fingers at those Senators who simply did not do their Constitutional duty for advice and consent.

I went to Constitution Hall several years ago, and also to the Liberty Bell. I didn't know then how much things would have changed by 2025. I might have taken more time had I known.
