Content on being real-life comic book supervillains, Republicans in the Senate voted to advance Donald Trump’s disastrous “big, beautiful bill” that will kill Americans to make billionaires richer.
The bill from hell will represent the largest wealth transfer, or theft, in US history, and more than $3 trillion to the debt just so the wealthiest people on Earth can have more money and spend $50 million on gaudy, disgusting weddings in Venice attended by celebrities and billionaires. It’s so bad that Sieg Heil lover Elon Musk has publicly come out against it. GOP Senator Thom Tillis has finally found the courage to denounce the bill’s obscene Medicaid cuts now that he’s announced his retirement. 60% of Americans oppose the bill. That number will only go up if corporate media were to spend more time going into the details about the bill instead of talking about Joe Biden’s health, and pearl-clutching about rap groups criticizing Israel’s genocide.
In addition to cutting nearly $900 billion from Medicaid, the bill will cut SNAP benefits and force almost 25% of nursing homes to shut down. Sorry, grandma and grandpa, but you gotta die because America doesn’t care about “non-productive people.” The bill will also drive up energy costs in every single state, but that’s perfectly fine with Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski, an alleged moderate, who flipped and voted for the disastrous bill after receiving assurances that her state would be eligible for waivers from new SNAP work requirements for “able-bodied” adults without dependent children.
You’d think Democrats could unite for effective messaging against this deeply unpopular bill and use the weekend news shows to rally the majority, right? Wrong. Instead, Democratic leadership, such as Rep. Jeffries and others decided to use that prestigious airtime to smear their own candidate, Zohran Mamdani, and repeat baseless lies against him.
Wonderful.
The truth is that members of the political establishment all eat from the same troth and suck from the same teat of billionaire money and corporate donors. Instead of speaking out against the oligarchy and this GOP bill that kills Americans, they are united to destroy Mamdani and parrot AIPAC talking points.
