Republicans Unlock New Slogan for 2026: "We Are All Going to Die"
Republicans have gone all-in on killing as many Americans as possible to promote a wealth transfer to the wealthiest people at the expense of our health care, Medicaid, and social services.
As I continue the world’s worst “I told you so” tour from hell, it brings me no joy or petty glee to state that I was unfortunately correct in labeling the modern GOP as a “pro-death party.”
My initial assessment was based on their brazen disregard for the lives of our grandparents and elders during the COVID pandemic, which killed more than 1 million Americans. They were willing to sacrifice the vulnerable to restart the economy and unleash “herd immunity.” That meant smearing scientists and doctors, promoting bunk anti-vaccine conspiracies that are now mainstream, and mocking masks. In 2025, we have RFK Jr. as the director of our Health and Human Services. This unqualified crank, who has no medical degree, has unleashed the MAHA (Make America Hurt Again) Report that was partly written by AI, filled with errors and made-up citations, and whose implementation will result in needless death and suffering. Measles is skyrocketing, our average life expectancy has declined, and Republicans are gutting our public health infrastructure.
MAGA’s Murder Bill will initiate the largest wealth transfer to the 1% at the expense of Medicaid, Obamacare, and SNAP benefits, while also ballooning the deficit. But, don’t worry, the U.S. will continue inflating the military-industrial complex and investing in private prisons. After all, a population that doesn’t have work, options, and health care will probably resort to some criminal activity to stay afloat, and that means more money for private prisons and a new generation of free labor for the government.
Back in the day, Republicans used to hide their evil, super villain ideologies and heartless contempt for the majority behind dog whistles and euphemisms. Once in a while, their masks dropped thanks to investigative reporting or audio/video leaks, such as the time in 2012 when Presidential candidate Mitt Romney was caught deriding 47% of the population as “freeloaders.”
However, they would never admit this out loud.
Until now.
Over the weekend, a recording of a town hall with Senator Joni Ernst was leaked, where she responded to concerns about Medicaid and SNAP cuts with the following quip: “Well, we all are going to die.” And by “we,” she means you, us, the folks who don’t wear $60K Rolex watches like Kristi Noem or have $400 million jets from Qatar or massive stock options like Ernst, MTG, and other Republican elected officials.
Ernst doubled down on her cruelty with more snark and sarcasm in what can only be described as a troll video she made in a cemetery. Why use coded words, winks, and subtlety when you can outright say it without any pushback or consequence? Republicans have captured political power, the media, and the Supreme Court, and as such are drunk on power, arrogance, and cruelty. They also don’t think they’ll ever lose again and are open to using any illegal, violent means, including an insurrection, to stay in power.
The good news is that a resistance is rising. Some corporate law firms that bent the knee to Trump and volunteered millions of dollars of pro bono work for his fascist regime are now facing backlash and repercussions. Musk, who is allegedly a full-blown drug addict, has stepped back from destroying our government because protests led to the tanking of his Tesla stock. A Wisconsin Supreme Court race swung by double digits to the liberal judge despite Musk dumping more than $20 million to tilt the race. As we embark on Pride Month, some Democrats, like Gov. Tim Walz, have decided not to throw the LGBTQ+ communities and DEI under the bus and instead promote a message of openness, respect, and tolerance. Unfortunately, the forces of hate are still emboldened as a beloved voice actor Jonathan Joss was killed in an alleged homophobic hate crime in Texas.
It’s a rough start to the week, but Danielle and I try our best to bring some perspective, and, yes, even some small doses of hope during our current crises in today’s episode of Democracy-ish.
This is from the mouth of a fascist 🤮
LEAD THE WAY, REPUBLICAN’TS!
Buh-bye.
I choose life with positive energy, freedom, and love.
