Reminds me of my brother's comment when I was complaining about "too many people" - if we're trying to help the planet by reducing population, we should start with Americans since they use far more resources per person than any other country on Earth.

Curious if any one is writing about the stark one-sidedness in favor of the oppressors in MAGA “thinking.” We all saw the Trump peace proposal for Russia’s war on Ukraine in which Ukraine concedes everything and nothing was asked of Russia.

Now, the Budget reconciliation bill gives the wealthiest not only the extension of the TCJA, but new tax cuts in the estate tax and for gifts to organizations funding private school vouchers offset by everyone else losing healthcare, nutrition assistance and affordable housing and energy.

Heck of an ideology.

"Die Sooner" has been the Republican plan for improving the solvency of Social Security and Medicare for a long time.

The callousness of the GOP knows no bounds. Dems, get your nominees in place, scrape up some cash for them, and elect them. Let them campaign in teams to send the message that we work together and will fight in formation, no in deification--of a cult leader. Our candidates will be on their feet, not on their knees.

Not sure why Ernst's comments were met so badly. It was one of the first Republicans actually telling the truth in months. It's the actual plan: keep most Americans poor, uneducated, unhealthy and desperate, to work to support their oligarch masters (the nobles). Figurehead King Trump, led by his court advisors - Miller, Vought et al - with a professional class and the rest are serfs. A modern techno-feudal society, with a strong Christian Nationalist church.

I think it is naive, at best, to be shocked that all the people gaining frrom this horrible murder cares

We are adults. THey do not care. We are shocked, and that means we weren't listening OR

This was said Oakland, when a black man died. And all the murders of people of color.

They know the people in charge not only to not care, but think of ways to wipe out as many as they can.

Now, we are upset because this applies to us?

Educate yourself. Complaining is uesless unless a unified plan is formed. AND where can I FIND, on this site, a group of the people WE wrote off as dead? Oakland teens, Latino/a farm workers, maids, etc.

Were we fine when this was just happening to THEM and not US?

THan we are guilty of what we accuse others. Where, on left hook, or Zetos, which a respect very much, are THOSE people?

Because they KNOW what is happeining, how to survive and have widsom all the talking heads sinply cannot know. And why are we still ignoring them?

I taught at an LA School. I am retired. Once a could produce, for you, a bright, articulate youths of color and poverty, who can not only say how it feels BUT can organize to action.

When we hear from them? We will learn about what real opposition looks like.

They are now invisible. They have answers, experiences because this is NORMAL FOR THEM.

For decades people have said to those communties, Well you will all die anyway.

Save the outrage and look to people who have heard this all their lives, to show us the way.

Are people shootting outside your house and are your children sleeping in the bathtub because of it? No? Well let THEM tell you how it has been to live exactly as we live now.

And give some RESPECT to those who don't have the money or time to complain.

THEY will GET IT DONE

The big money made on illegal drugs is Not one individual person walking across the border. It's personal jets to large estates with private landing strips. The entire border lies are fictitious and staged by GOP acts. The Republicans want uneducated, timid, cheap labor from lower classes: serf proletariat slave indentured servant.

I am with you all the way. It's county and district [regional judicial districts - In Louisiana there are 40 FORTY!!! Judicial court districts, over the 64 parishes (counties)] criminal cases charged with violation of criminal statutes of the county and state governments. These criminal jury trials down here South Louisiana and South Mississippi are so subjective, juries fall for dog whistles. Jurors live in upper class gated subdivisions. They have no idea what reality is. For the defendant who cannot sleep in his grandma's house in any room facing the street (drive by gunshots), sleeps on floor for safety, has no public transit, no safe pedestrian or bicycle lanes. Embarrassed to attend school because clothes are worn, too small, etc. Needs dental care. And you privileged jerks expect these young people to live by your same standards. Of course, the real goal, to get everyone convicted of a felony. And then pass laws that a felony conviction precludes them from ever voting or serving on a jury - all to prevent as many minority citizens from voting - the many rules that preclude EVER being able to register to vote and then actually be allowed to vote. Even with criminal sentence satisfactory completion. The Southern White Supremacist plan in the 1960s & 1970s. IF I'm lyin', I'm dyin'. 71 year old white woman who has been sick of this authoritarianism and lies since 1968 Chicago conventions, both parties. That F@sc!$t Wannabe Caligula in the Wh!teHou$e. Who has 34 felony convictions AND though not a criminal trial, the evidence in the civil tort lawsuit for his rape of MS. Carroll met the proof beyond a reasonable doubt standard. And he pardoned so many awful people. Trump's personal loyalists. His personal military is ICE. Many of whom are Proud Boys. 3%. Boo-ga-lo. KKK that marched in West Virginia. So many more.

Well This certainly lowers my premiums and Co-pays, cost-sharing and co-insurance for medical care and Rxs, and no more annual deductible on Medicare and Part D PDP. Since I have to pay IRS federal income tax on my Medicare premium automatically deducted from my Social Security before the remaining amount is deposited in checking account, wow I can buy a bag of apples.
