And I watched Lawrence’s screed last night, which was so right on and amazing. What a dumpster fire. No mic to hear the reporters questions. Just a rehash of Trump’s greatest hits and some new, unhinged ones(helicopter with Willie Brown?)
The press should not be covering this. Only show the parts where there is actually news. Not likely. This was more like a rally than a presser. So what if you ask a question and he calls it stupid? That should be a badge of honor because you know what - it’s actually a really good question he doesn’t want to answer
I thought the same thing Lawrence said last night. This is a rehash of 2016 and it didn’t end well. We all have to keep calling this out. We can’t let them Swift Boat Walz like they did to Kerry. These guys are heroes who served, not a bone spur deferred cry baby.

An excellent piece. What is most obnoxious about the coverage of the Walz Nationak Guard story is that the person peddling this rubbish is Trump’s campaign manager Chris LaCivita, who is none other than the guy who spread the bogus Swift Boat story in 2004. You’d think they'd learn.
I was doubly disgusted when I learned that. I remember the Swift Boating of both John Kerry and Max Cleland - who was a triple amputee wounded in Viet Nam. So disgusting.
I couldn’t agree more. Frankly, I was shocked by the CNN debate in which Biden was pilloried. I use that word purposely. Clearly the man was tired and was mumbling as he tends to do. But Tapper and Bash held him to time limits but never tried to stop Trump when he refused to answer the question being asked. Nor did they fact check his lies. CNN did that after the broadcast and largely the next day. So Trump got away with his outrage and Biden, a great leader and decent man, was driven out. The media absolutely hounded Biden about his age until the Party was worried about down ballot races and Biden’s overall ability to attract votes. Why does Trump get all this air time in courtroom breaks or after court? Why does a Mar-a-Lago press conference get so much coverage and no fact checking? Could it be that the media needs things to be dire, or “breaking” news, or conflict, or a liar like Trump. Giving him air time gives him validity he doesn’t deserve.
The press is so antsy that Vice President Harris hasn’t sat down for an interview yet and it smacks of a set-up to me. It’s as if they are demanding a ransom payment from her, or else. Like a shakedown from a mobster. Give us an interview or we’ll really turn against you. The ridiculous headlines questioning how she’ll grapple with something that donald did are absolutely absurd. And as soon as she walks up to a press gaggle on the tarmac and asks what they’ve got for her, it’s mostly questions about donald. Psst, hey press, stop falling down on the job!
It seems obvious by this time that the corporate media is rooting for trump to win. It’s worse than 2016 in that they’re supporting this fascist because he’s their meal ticket. The press is either shortsighted or they don’t have a problem becoming state-run media should he win (he won’t).
Absent the MSM, Kamala is a shoo-in. But they make it close and scare me. I am an educated, literate, curious man. As such, the press offends me deeply.
When someone shows you who they are, believe them. No one in the traditional media will step up now if they haven’t for so many years. In fact, their bias in favor of trump is now blatant and slammed in the faces of those of us who believed in the 4th Estate every day

Thank you! A wonderful piece of writing that doesn't mince words but uses them to surgically attack the cancer that has become the media in America. Also FYI regarding the Trump helicopter story -- he was in a helicopter in 1990 with a black politician from Los Angeles - Nate Holden, who is now 95 corrected the story. I remember him well from back in the day. His employee Barbara Res also remembers the event. The copter had to make an emergency landing and it sounded fairly terrifying. No one was hurt and it landed safely. Mr. Holden quipped that Trump thinks all black men look alike as a way to explain how he mixed him up with Willie Brown. Mr. Holden stated he's a tall black man from Los Angeles and Willie Brown (also in his 90's) is a short black man from San Francisco.
