I do believe the war crimes are being ignored. How can this administration condemn the Russian war crimes yet not the Israeli ones? It’s absolutely heartbreaking how these people are being slaughtered when we could do something about it very easily, in my opinion. Kamala must address this head on and force a ceasefire. Horrible that Biden was for this! I am against any needless killing and no more excuses. I don't care how much they want to rationalize it's murdering the innocent, and that man, Netanyahu, has no conscience.
The thing that puzzles mean is why anyone thinks that stopping the arms would HURT the Dem's chances. Would those Dems who support Israel actually vote for trump? Is the worry that they just won't vote? Doesn't that ASSUME the the horse-race polls showing how close this is are gospel.
I have a naive question, Waj - do you think we keep sending loads of weapons and money to Israel is because the Biden admin knows that this is gonna blow up even way beyond Lebanon? And, cynically speaking, war is good for the economy? Ugh. It just makes no sense to me.
The US is very enmeshed with Israel's intel, munitions manufacturing, and geographically strategic location, all of which make it difficult to bring a hammer down on Netanyahu. Biden has probably been hoping the Israeli people would bring him down and let Benny Gantz negotiate a cease-fire and two-state solution.
