Despite promising to be an America First president who would lead the country to peace, strength, and security, Donald Trump has instead been dogwalked by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and launched the United States into war with Iran.
Earlier tonight, Netanyahu came closer to his lifelong dream of using the United States to implement a regime change in Iran. After saying he would pause for two weeks to consider his next steps, Trump, without Congressional approval, sent six B-2 bombers to drop a dozen 30,000-pound bunker buster bombs on three Iranian nuclear sites. That’s both illegal and unconstitutional, but let’s see if there’s any move for impeachment. (Don’t hold your breath.) Navy submarines were also used to fire missiles at two of the sites.
Trump made a brief statement threatening escalation if Iran responded, saying, “If peace does not come quickly, we will go after those other targets with precision, speed, and skill.” He was flanked by the world’s greatest DUI hires: Pete Hegseth, JD Vance, and Marco Rubio. His Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, was nowhere to be found. That’s probably because Trump publicly disagreed with her assessment that Iran doesn’t have nuclear weapons.
Well, if he doesn’t trust US intelligence, then whose intelligence is he following?
Unsurprisingly, Trump failed to mention that Iran does not have nuclear weapons, unlike Israel. He also forgot to inform the American public that Trump blew up the very successful US-Iran Nuclear Deal, negotiated by President Obama, which lowered the temperature and ensured Iran wouldn’t accelerate its program to obtain weapons. Trump ended his appearance by awkwardly asking God to bless the Middle East, Israel, and America in a way that confirms the man has never prayed to God in his life.
Iran’s Supreme Leader has yet to make an announcement, but Israel air-raid sirens are warning of incoming Iranian ballistic missile fire. War hawks, including Republican Senators, the military-industrial complex, Christian Nationalists, and some analysts at CNN, are ecstatic. However, as we’ve learned from the past 23 years, it’s easy to start wars in the Middle East, but it’s very hard to end them.
