“I can't be your friend anymore because you are Latino,” 14-year-old Stephen Miller said to his friend Jason Islas right before they entered Santa Monica High School.
Nearly three decades later, Miller hasn’t changed his spots, but unfortunately, his hate has led him to the White House, where he is now unleashed to create his white nationalist utopia with the full blessing of an aging, disengaged Donald Trump, who’s too busy golfing, grifting and attending military parades for himself.
The completely preventable and escalating crisis in LA was initiated by Miller, who commanded ICE agents to terrorize local communities and pick up brown-skinned individuals at Home Depot, 7-11, factories, and elementary schools. These masked agents, who are now operating as Trump’s secret police, have already kidnapped and deported innocent immigrants to El Salvador and harassed and detained pro-Palestinian activists. You don’t need due process or arrest warrants when you have power and a racist telling you to meet your quotas.
None of this is surprising if you’ve followed Miller’s career, who has always worked with anti-immigrant extremists to achieve his racist vision. As suspended ABC journalist Terry Moran accurately described him, Miller is a “world-class hater” who “eats his hate” as his “spiritual nourishment.” Miller is a true believer, and now there are no guardrails or “adults” in the room, including folks like General Kelly or Mattis. Instead, Miller has feckless Reeks and minions, such as Border Czar Tom Homan, Kristi Noem, and Pete Hegseth, who share his mission of cruelty.
In addition to implementing a Travel Ban, Miller wants to undo birthright citizenship, deport legal immigrants, and hijack this country back to the 20th century before the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act, which Miller believes was one of the worst catastrophes to hit America. That Act allowed people like my father to come to America and opened the doors for millions of Asian and Latino immigrants to attempt to achieve the American dream. Miller wants to burn the door down and make America white again.
This is why author and strategist Rick Wilson refers to Miller as Trump’s Heydrich, the Nazi SS officer who was the principal architect of the Holocaust, and believes he is “truly one of the most evil people in the country.” I invited Rick to discuss the depth of Miller’s hate and map out his end game.
