Israeli genocide against Palestinians has been going on for decades.

The image of Israel alone against 100 million arabs in 1967 was an exageration.

They had the latest modern arms of the times against outdated arms & poorly trained conscripts.

I am glad that you realize there are Jewish Americans (and probably Jewish Israelis) who are horrified by what has been happening in the West Bank and Gaza. Netanyahu and his enablers are guilty of war crimes.

There are protests in Israel against the genocidal policies of the Israeli govt since long before the attack by Hamas. Unfortunately a small minority.

I know maybe 3 Jewish people, about the same number of Muslims, and no Palestinians. However, I have empathy to spare. What is happening in Gaza is horrifying. There is no excuse for what Israel is doing. I don't blame Jews for what Netanyahu is doing. I blame Netanyahu. I don't blame Palestinians for what Hamas is doing. I blame Hamas. The people in Gaza are just trying to live.

A general strike seems to be the best bet. America doesn't seem to be organized enough to create this.

As much as I can't stand the Dems, right now, there's no excuse for anyone to sit on the sidelines at this time and so-called "protest" vote. There is no equivalence. Dems suck. But Trump is destroying long-standing and hard fought for rights, and thus everyone needs to stand up, speak up and vote out republicans that are CLEARLY the worst party right now. I know this solution isn't perfect--I really do--but doing nothing is (i.e. not voting) is an even greater crime. So, I have to disagree with Badar's argument about it being the candidate's fault. Because democracy relies on VOTERS. Resigning that right is resigning power to all else, but the people.

Where are your guns America? I thought 'in my naivety' that Americans had guns so that they could 'take over' a Government out of control! Chickenshit Americans.

YOU have ruined this world.

Seriously, getting violent, especially at this point, would be counter-productive. It would be a perfect excuse for the MAGA old man to declare martial law (and I'm sure he's trying to create that excuse if we don't give it to him - look at Los Angeles). Better for people to stop rolling over for the regime and genocide supporters. Violence in the 1960's by certain blacks did not advance their cause, IMHO (and I'm old enough to have seen some of it). Martin Luther King (and Ghandi in India decades earlier) got much further by demonstrating how cruel the people against them really were - by themselves being peaceful but reliably persistent - while the other side attacked them. That's what woke people up and got the previously undecided folks on their side.

Unfortunately the guns are mostly with the MAGA crowd. They took over the govt with Trump.

To Omar Baddar: I hear you say that the lesser of the two evils in the last presidential election was Harris, but yet, due to Harris's complicity in the genocide of Palestinians, you chose not to vote at all. You chose to NOT choose the lesser of two evils. My question is this: Did you realize that NOT choosing the lesser of two evils meant you WERE choosing the worst evil - did you not recognize the fact that if Harris did not win, then Trump would win? I have this question for all Muslims who chose NOT to vote. Maybe your answer can help me understand this. Because, we now have a fascist in the White House, whereas the lesser of two evils was NOT a fascist and our democracy would not be under siege by the fascist Trump. Help me understand this.

Note that Harris was more neutral on the Israel/Palestine than Biden, with Trump much more pro Israel than either.

So indeed, the wisest pro Palestinian action would have been Harris.

I suspect that her neutral stand was a reflection of current Democrat policies.

So indeed, the intelligent choice was to vote Harris. But many younger voters, new to political action, chose to abstain.

Bob Vylan for decades has been singing against the establishment. Amongst his lyrics were:

"Kill the fucking Queen, burn Britannia"

"Winding people up is how we derive enjoyment from living in England"

"Dig up Maggie" (Margaret Thatcher)

"I wipe my arse with UK flag, then spit on the crown"

"Give Churchill's statue the rope, see if it floats"

Yet they were never cancelled until 2025 when cancel culture started and democracies turned into dictatorships especially if you dare to speak against ISRAHELL!

Waj,

My great fear is you are already on the INS “to be disappeared” list. My greater fear is half the populace would say, “good riddance” and the other half would sit on their hands; you know, the “good Americans.” My greatest fear is we are already past the tipping point of totalitarian fascism, and don’t know it. Trump has it within his power and “official duties” to declare a state of emergency, impose martial law and cancel midterm elections. Who would stop him? If it takes two years to adjudicate whether what he did was constitutional or not, what’s the point?

If you're looking for connections to 9-11, you might want to look at the Kushner-Saudi bedfellows. Establishment Dems completely suck. Useless. Well, worse than useless... more like complicit. Completely beholden to their highly paid (and tone-deaf) DC consultants.
