It is always beyond comprehension to me why people who don’t live a single one of the values Jesus preached, rub their booties on polished pews on Sunday? But it is beyond shocking to me how many white evangelicals I grew up with that I THOUGHT actually got it . . . . Who are ALL IN MAGA, I mean all in . . .went from saying cracks about Michelle Obama when she wore sleeveless dresses (with arms the envy of every woman in America) to featuring Melania on their FB Pages as their ‘beautiful First Lady’ like she’s the First Lady now. This is hiding behind who you ALWAYS were.
I’m ashamed to say I agree with you, fully, as a white woman. Growing up Catholic, I eschewed religion entirely after leaving home for college, recognizing that I just couldn’t relate to the dogma, and couldn’t ‘feel’ it, ever. Later I converted to Judaism, but find I’m really just agnostic…and happy just to ‘be’.
