One would hope that Donald Trump losing the 2024 election would be the death blow to Trumpism and the MAGA domination of the GOP. However, even if Trump loses - and he must lose - it should be clear to anyone paying attention that he has not only transformed the GOP but revealed its true, extremist colors and racist spirit.

Stuart Stevens, a former GOP consultant who is now with The Lincoln Project, believes the GOP and the current conservative movement will remain an active and dire threat to democracy. He agrees this is a long-term fight lasting several years, perhaps decades, to protect our country and flawed democracy. However, he also believes the majority should be hopeful and walk and talk with a confident swagger.
In this Chai Talk, he talks to me about how his party “revealed” itself through Trump and how they’re committed to minoritarian rule by any violent means necessary. He also shares how we, the majority, can defeat this right-wing movement that is committed to fascism.
Grab a chai and give us a listen!
