About 5 years ago I read about Musk's childhood, where he had a very cruel, sadistic father (same with trump). It seemed there was terrible mental and physical abuse. Of course I didn't source this, but at the time it seemed valid. I actually thought his diagnosis was Dissociative Disorder, which fits seeing him now. As Cynthia says, "They are cut from the same personality disorders." We're seeing what these two men at the top of leadership and control of the masses, with their mental illnesses, can do to an already broken social structure.

All Trump wanted was to stay out of jail. He doesn’t care about the chaos in Washington.

Biden should resign and let Harris be #47

For a month!

Yup. That's all Trump wanted and now he can milk the presidency for money. I'm down with Biden doing that but his ego wont let him.

That's hilarious. Think of all the #47 inventory that would have to be redone!

Chip Roy is one of the most right-wing of all Republicans. I'm not sure who is more right-wing. It's just that he's a little less intimidated from crossing other Republicans, including Trump, & from speaking his mind.

This will be a horrendous presidency, & it could all have been avoided if the Democratic leadership had any spine & the Biden administration enforced the law & Constitution against criminal & treasonous members of the Trump administration & Republican Congress. Both Trump & Musk are constitutionally ineligible for the presidency. The DOJ & FBI should've investigated & prosecuted Trump & members of his administration & Congress involved in the coup attempt, & there were many opportunities for the DOJ to imprison Trump for stochastic terrorism, as a national security risk, & for court violations, which they let slip by. There were also many suspicious anomalies in the 2024 election suggesting results were manipulated, in which Musk & Putin were implicated, which screamed out for investigation & vote recounts. No action whatsoever from this administration or congressional Democrats. Any other government in the world would've acted to punish instigators of insurrection & election fraud. We are already a failed democracy even before Trump is sworn in, defying constitutional law.

The question is, the more st significant and dire question, now that we’re already witnessing the chaos, what should a president do for the sake and welfare of the people he swore to protect and defend from enemies foreign and w/in. What does a president as decent as Biden do knowing what is ahead? What would you do? Do you let the catastrophe happen? Do let a financial depression happen? Do you let racist, sexist, misogynistic people step into power? Is the downside of doing something worse than allowing the collapse to occur?

I wonder if Musk will make a habit of this. He has to know Trump will blow. Does the Musk guy have that much self awareness, self control? after all if he Trumps Trump he will be the super hero he believes himself to be.

Trump might be too exhausted to care. Musk has all the fingers in the cookie jar. I believe he is more dangerous than Trump.

Prohibited from becoming President because he is a naturalized citizen. Buying his way in? Buying influence? Either way, T…p will get bored and fire him. Take the money and run, Donny boy!

I’m just struck by the irony of “MAGA has two daddies”. Even though it’s not the same. It’s a little more in line with Tucker Carlson’s creepy in a porn flick plot line “Daddy’s Home” speech that still makes me feel like I need a shower after even thinking about it. It’s not enough to totally undermine the GOP and the deranged Project 2025 people, but it weakens their hold on those MAGA in name only who were starting to drift from the party line.

You read my mind, but said it better...

"Donald Trump...seems to have lost his stamina and vigor this time around and is content outsourcing the Presidency to the broligarchy as he eats cheap burgers and tweets from Mar-a-Lago."

I, also, have noticed Trump's lack of energy. Maybe Musk is his 'stand in' for now. I also find it really, really strange that Vance has disappeared. This is one zany period of time that the historians should make note of. It's like a TV series - a tragi/comedy! I can't wait for next weeks show! But, truly, it will only take a couple of days before something bizarre comes up again.

More great writing from you, Waj! And, I say again, you should have wayyy more subscribers!! I guess patience is called for, and I'll certainly keep reading what you have to say. Speaking of which, that was a great 'Democracy-ish' today! You and Danielle are meshing so well together! You really pull each other up to a higher level of thought and expression. Keep up the great work! And because I'm two hours ahead of you (MST) I'm never able to make comments or make a regular donation to your show. I'm gonna change that and make a real effort to get online earlier in the New Year. Happy Holidays to you and your lovely family, Waj. Get some rest and be ready to fire those bullets of yours again in the New Year! Luv ya! (remember, I'm 72, so I can say stuff like that...lol).

I'm not sure the people who voted for Trump think they'll be "finding out" from Trump's "fucking around." It's the liberals they expect to be finding out.

I don’t feel like Trump is following Elon Musk’s directives to the letter of such edicts. I find Trump disrespectfully insolent in this regard. All I see is lip service. Trump should tell Speaker Johnson exactly what Musk told him he wanted to get done. It seems simple, but I don’t think Trump gets everything.
