***Editor’s Note: Friends, thank you all for supporting The Left Hook. I had no idea it would grow so quickly. I assumed I’d post three times a week, but with so much news, I’m creating daily content. The only way I can sustain this is with your financial support. If you’re a free subscriber, consider $5 for a monthly subscription. If you pay $5, consider a yearly subscription for $50. And if you’ve dropped $50, hey, help a brother out with $250 and you will get my eternal respect. Thank you again!

Listen To Black Women Pink Sticker (77)

By now you have realized that Vice President Kamala Harris has “turned Black” and has the potential to be the first woman to become President of the United States. Thanks in part to Black women, she has galvanized grassroots momentum and energy that is uniting diverse communities to support a Black-Indian woman and defeat Trump, a racist misogynist who was held liable for rape.

Historically, America and social justice movements have marginalized and ignored Black women even though they’ve been the trailblazers in advocating for human rights, progress, and equity which always ends up benefitting the entire country. Recently, activist Shannon Watts acknowledged the leadership of Black women when she helped galvanize "White Women for Harris” and raised a record-breaking 11 million dollars in two days. (My interview with Shannon will be out tomorrow.)

Taking recent trends into account, I sat down with friend and brilliant activist Brittany Packnett-Cunningham, host and EP of the weekly UNDISTRACTED podcast and founder of the social impact firm Love And Power Works, to discuss why it’s in the best interest of Democrats to follow the lead of Black women beyond the 2024 election to implement systemic changes that will truly make America great for everybody.

Grab a chai and give us a listen! (Also, I owe her and you my chai recipe which will be forthcoming!)
