The 2024 election will come down to a handful of states. One of the big prizes is Michigan, which is also home to the largest community of Arab Americans in the country. Yesterday, the Harris-Walz ticket had a huge rally in an airport hangar filled with 15,000 people. However, the rock star event was briefly interrupted by a few pro-Palestinian protestors attempting to end the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Also, Republicans are also currently ahead in the polls when it comes to voter confidence in who will better handle the economy and immigration.

So, what is the story, the message, and the policies that Democrats must present to win Michigan, a crucial state needed for a Harris-Walz victory in 2024?

I talked to State Senator Mallory McMorrow who has been ascending ever since a video of her brilliant takedown of hateful GOP talking points and conspiracy theories went viral over two years ago. Since then, she’s become the state’s first female majority whip. She gives her insights and strategies on how the Harris-Walz ticket can win over Michiganders, including those who are on the fence and uncommitted.
