The world is witness to what many consider Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza that is funded and supported by the United States.
After nearly a year, Hamas is not destroyed, and the Israeli hostages have not been returned. Prime Minister Netanyahu’s government is populated with violent, Jewish supremacists who want to cleanse the land of Palestinians and fully occupy Gaza and the West Bank.
More than 40,000 Palestinians have been killed, and they are now enduring both occupation and man-made famine. Meanwhile, there is a growing, global coalition of protestors, including many Jews, who consider Israel to be a pariah and an occupying force increasingly turning fascist. At home, Israel’s government is cracking down on protestors. Abroad, Israel is now expanding the war and attacking Hezbollah in Lebanon through a policy of “De-escalation through escalation.”
This is a recipe for self-destruction and chaos according to Israeli analyst and commentator Mairav Zonszein of the International Crisis Group. She joins me from Tel Aviv to discuss how the Israel’s government’s current strategy against Palestinians will only bring more insecurity, violence, and threaten to destroy the nation’s democracy.
