Have you all read the polls? The disastrous polls? The terrible polls? The polls that spell certain doom for Democrats if President Biden remains on the ticket? Did you read the new Politco piece where Democrats are floating around polls that suggest even VP Kamala Harris has to be removed? Did you see the disastrous, terrible, no-good, awful debate from several weeks ago?
Did you hear about Rep. Adam Schiff of California publicly asking President Biden to step down citing “serious concerns” he can win?
To quote Hudson from Aliens, “That’s it! It’s game over, man. Game over!”
Or maybe not.
I’ve put my stake in the ground that forcing President Biden out this late in the campaign, especially if he refuses to step down, would spell certain doom for Democrats. I have no loyalty to any personality or candidate. I only care about protecting our democracy. That’s why I’ve urged pro-democracy coalitions to unite, mobilize and organize against a right-wing authoritarian MAGA movement that will replace our democracy with a Trump dictatorship.
Four months is enough time. The election is in November, and polls can change, as we just saw with the France election and the 2022 midterms that were a Red Trickle and not a Red Wave.
Another person who agrees with me is Professor Allan Lichtman of American University whose famous “13 Keys to the Presidency” have accurately predicted the last 10 elections. He also hosts a YouTube show on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 9 pm ET.
Earlier this evening, he tweeted, “If Democrats hope to retain the White House in November, they need to support Joe Biden!”
I agree with him.
